Observation of Movement
An abnormal movement pattern can result in the body overcompensating, and may ultimately lead to an injury.
Your physical therapist may perform a biomechanical assessment as part of your evaluation. This may include taking limb measurements, analyzing the wear on your shoes, and observing walking, running or sport specific movement patterns.
In some cases, a video analysis may be performed as an effective way for your provider to study movement patterns. Your physical therapist will be able to use the data they collect to design the most successful route to your recovery and get you back to the activities you love! |
